Amazon has announced a new pilot program for its visa-signing program that would provide a better alternative to a signature-based system.
The company said it has already signed up more than 10,000 new visa holders in Canada, the U.K., the U, Australia and New Zealand, with more than 2.4 million visa holders worldwide expected to sign up for the program by the end of the year.
It’s also in the process of signing up additional U.S. and European citizens and companies who need to have a visa to enter Canada.
Amazon said it will offer an app that will allow users to check their visa status online and also create a digital signature.
It will then provide them with an online confirmation when they arrive in Canada and they can start the process to obtain a Canadian visa, the company said.
“We’re very excited about the opportunities we have here in Canada.
It’s a great place to live and work, and a great market for companies looking to invest in Canada,” said David Giesbrecht, the president of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
“We see great opportunities here for our people to stay here and contribute to our economy, our economy’s well-being.”
The Canadian Chamber is not only looking to bring Canadian companies to Canada but also to strengthen the country’s economy, said CEO David Boadle.
“Amazon has an important and strategic role to play in the long-term future of our country and our economy,” he said in a statement.
“They’re an important contributor to the Canadian economy and they’ve already proven to be a powerful and successful Canadian brand.”
While Amazon is not the first major tech company to offer a visa-based program, it is one of the few to do so in Canada at a level that is competitive with other countries.
The program is available to Canadians through the Prime Minister’s Office.
The Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, has also said he wants to encourage more American companies to open shop in Canada by creating a visa lottery for U.s. and Canadians alike.
Last month, he told the House of Commons that the government has set up a lottery of about 500,000 Canadian visas, with up to 30,000 applications per year.
He said the lottery will eventually be extended to 100,000 visas per year and that the goal is to give Americans a “competitive advantage” over Canadian competitors.
The U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) said the government should be making it easier for companies to work in Canada without requiring them to have specialized skills.
The UNHCR said the visa program was created in the wake of the 2008 financial crisis, which left millions of people without access to safe and legal work.
In 2008, it set up the Visa Program for Investment, which offers visa-free business investment opportunities to Canadian companies, and the UG3, which provides temporary employment visas to foreign workers.
