How to obtain a visa for a travel visa, e.g. to a visit, business trip, etc. The easiest way to apply for a visa is through the Malaysia Visitor Visa Office (MBVO).
You can also apply online by clicking on the visa online button.
MBVO’s website is located at: https://mvo.gov.my/visit/visa-office/mbvo/mvos-online.html If you are an e-commerce business or a government agency, MBVO is also open to online application.
If you have a website or other content that is in English or French, you can apply online here.
Once you’ve submitted your application, you will be sent a letter that allows you to review the information provided and make your decision.
You may also receive a notification when you’ve approved the visa application.
For more information, visit the MBVO website.
For additional information, you may contact the MBVO at +65 (0) 477 9962.
You can find more details on how to apply online at the MBVI website: https: //mbvio.gov/en/regulations/visas/visanew-e-commerce-online-e.html.
You will be asked to fill out a short questionnaire.
This is to verify that you are authorized to do business in Malaysia.
Once the questionnaire has been completed, you are asked to provide your passport or travel documents (e.g., passport, visa, etc.) for the duration of the visa.
If your passport is not valid or expired, the visa will not be issued.
Once your visa is approved, you must enter the visa office and obtain the visa stamp.
The visa stamp must be affixed to your passport.
You are also required to submit a copy of your passport, a photocopy of the stamp, and the application fee.
You must also bring the original document, and your copy of the application form.
The application fee is $10, payable by credit card.
The fee will be refunded upon receipt of your visa application form and your visa stamp, or you can pay the application in advance.
The MBVI will issue a receipt to the applicant upon arrival at the visa officer’s office.
The receipt must be valid and not expired or invalid.
You should also bring a photocopied copy of each of the following documents: your passport; a copy or copy of an approved application form, or other approved document, showing the date and time you submitted the application.
The applicant will also need to submit their valid driver’s license number, or another acceptable form of identification.
The license number is the same as the driver’s ID number in Malaysia, but it may be different from the number on your driver’s licence in the US or other countries.
The driver’s name and the license number of your vehicle must match.
You do not need to bring a copy to the MBVA office.
If it is not possible to apply in person, you might be able to obtain your visa online from an MBVI employee, or through an MBVO-operated office.

The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade has a separate website for online visa applications, but does not recommend the use of this site for online applications.
In the case of any other application, the Department of Home Affairs and Border Protection advises against applying online.
However, it is important to remember that you do not have to apply at the MVOVO website.
You could submit your application online if you have questions or concerns, and you can then send your completed application to the MVMV or MVS offices, respectively, to receive their approval and to provide you with an official copy of their decision.
